These terms govern your use of HIT.TV. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. Questions go through our contact form.

1. Who we are

HIT.TV is operated by TCOM Services Inc, 1000 N. West Street, Suite 200, Wilmington, Delaware 19801, United States (“we”, “us”, “our”). These terms are an agreement between you and that company.

2. Who may use the site

The site is intended for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, please use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you use the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

3. Using the site

You may read, watch and share our content for personal, non-commercial use. You must not misuse the site: no attempting to gain unauthorised access, no scraping at a rate that burdens the service, no interfering with other users, no circumventing any technical limits we put in place, and nothing unlawful.

4. AI-generated presenters and copy

HIT.TV is an automated news service. Our presenters are synthetic, computer-generated characters, not real people, and our scripts and summaries are produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence and then published under our editorial rules. Nothing on this site should be taken as a statement by a real named journalist unless we say so explicitly.

5. Accuracy and corrections

We work from reputable sources and take care to be accurate, but news moves quickly and automated systems can make mistakes. Content is provided on an “as is” basis with no warranty that it is complete, current or error-free.

If you believe something we have published is wrong, tell us through the contact form or at contact@hit.tv. We will look into it and correct or remove the content where a correction is due.

6. Not financial, legal or medical advice

We report on business, markets and the wider world, but nothing on HIT.TV is investment, financial, legal, tax or medical advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. Prices and figures we quote are indicative and may be delayed. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and should take independent professional advice where appropriate.

7. Intellectual property

The HIT name and logo, our scripts, video output, page design and compilations are our property or licensed to us. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial parts, or use our content to train machine learning models, without written permission. Third-party names and marks referred to in the news remain the property of their owners.

8. What you send us

If you send us a message, a correction or a suggestion, you keep ownership of it, but you give us permission to use it for the purpose of running the site, including acting on a correction and improving our coverage. Please do not send us confidential information or anything you do not have the right to share. We handle your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-party links

We link to other sites, including the original reporting behind our stories. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the site and live channel available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The live channel does not run continuously. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, and we may restrict or end your access if you break these terms.

11. Liability

The site is provided free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site, including trading losses, lost profits, lost business or lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

12. Your responsibility to us

If you use the site in breach of these terms and that causes us loss, or causes a claim to be brought against us, you agree to be responsible for the reasonable costs and damages that result. This does not apply to anything caused by our own breach or negligence.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

14. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at our hosting, streaming or network providers, or failures of the public internet.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we do not lose the right to enforce it later. We may transfer these terms to another company if our business is sold or reorganised; your rights are not affected. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about your use of the site.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.

17. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
