Barcelona agree £65m deal to sign Rodri from Man City
BREAKING: Barcelona have agreed a £65m deal to sign Spain captain Rodri from Manchester City, with the Ballon d'Or winner set to sign a four-year deal.
Rodri is leaving Manchester City, and Barcelona are paying sixty five million pounds for him.
The Spain captain, the reigning World Cup winner, the 2024 Ballon d'Or holder, and there he is lifting that trophy this summer, named player of the tournament while he was at it. He's thirty now, signing a four year deal, and the move should be done within days.
Seven seasons at the Etihad, 298 appearances, twelve major honours. Four Premier League titles, the Champions League in 2023. City bought him for sixty two point eight million in 2019, so they're basically getting their money back on seven years of the best holding midfielder in the world. Not bad business, honestly.
So now Barcelona get a champion, and City get a hole in midfield the size of Spain. Everyone knows the name they want to fill it. Enzo Fernandez, and Chelsea want a hundred and twenty million. That saga isn't finished.
