Bitcoin slips under $80,000 as traders de-risk ahead of Fed meeting
BREAKING: $BTC slips under $80,000 as traders de-risk ahead of the Fed meeting.
Bitcoin is trading under eighty thousand dollars this morning.
It drifted down from around eighty one thousand over the past twenty four hours, then slipped through the level, and you can see the slide right here on the chart. No hack, no blowup, no villain this time. Just traders quietly taking chips off the table before the Federal Reserve meets this week.
That's the whole story, really. When rates are in play, crypto gets treated like the riskiest thing in the portfolio, because it is. Nobody wants to be the last one fully loaded if Jerome Powell says something hawkish into a nervous market.
Eighty thousand was a round number people liked to lean on. It's gone for now, and whether it comes back probably isn't up to crypto at all. It's up to a committee in Washington, and they speak in days.
