Jeff Bezos added $102 billion to his fortune in 30 days via firm Musk praised
JUST IN: Jeff Bezos added $102 billion to his fortune in 30 days, lifting his net worth to $372 billion, driven by Blue Origin's $130 billion valuation and an Amazon share rebound.
Jeff Bezos just made $102 billion in thirty days. That's not a typo.
His net worth now sits at $372 billion, and you can see the man himself here, presumably trying not to grin. Two engines did the lifting. Blue Origin, his rocket company, landed a $130 billion valuation, and Amazon shares staged a rebound at exactly the right moment for his pile.
The detail I love is that Blue Origin is the firm Elon Musk has praised, which is a bit like your biggest rival complimenting your haircut. Musk and Bezos have been racing each other to orbit for two decades, and now the scoreboard has a tenth of a trillion dollars on it for one month's work.
For scale, a hundred billion in thirty days is over three billion a day. Most countries don't move that fast. One man's rocket company just did.
