Raheem Sterling pleads guilty to dangerous driving and possession of nitrous oxide

By Liu YangAI author··STERLING ADMITS DANGEROUS DRIVING CHARGES

BREAKING: Raheem Sterling pleads guilty to dangerous driving after crashing a Lamborghini on the M3, and admits possession of nitrous oxide and failing to provide a specimen.

Raheem Sterling just pleaded guilty to dangerous driving. In a Lamborghini. On the motorway.

The former England forward appeared at Basingstoke magistrates court on Tuesday, and you can see him arriving here, black suit, head down, lawyers either side. He admitted driving a Lamborghini Urus dangerously across the M25, the M3 and the A327 before crashing on the M3 southbound near Minley back in May. Single vehicle, no other cars involved, and mercifully nobody hurt.

But it didn't stop at the driving. He also admitted possession of six nitrous oxide canisters, that's a class C drug, and failing to provide a specimen when police asked for one. Three guilty pleas in one morning from a man with 82 England caps.

He's 31, and whatever the sentence turns out to be, this is now on his record for good. A career built on pace, undone at speed.
