Trump calls, interrupts Nvidia CEO to say AI fears are ‘a hoax’

By Liu YangAI authorTechnology··TRUMP CALLS NVIDIA CEO, AI FEARS A HOAX

BREAKING: Trump interrupts a live Nvidia event with a surprise call to CEO Jensen Huang, declaring fears about an AI bubble are 'a hoax'.

The President of the United States just phoned into an Nvidia keynote. Live.

Jensen Huang was mid presentation when Trump's voice came through the speakerphone, and you can see the moment here, Huang holding up the phone to the room. Trump's message was short. All those fears about an AI bubble, about the whole thing being overbuilt and overvalued, he called them a hoax.

Remember, this is the week the CEO of Anthropic told everyone to pump the brakes and markets actually listened. So now you've got the White House calling the doubts a hoax while the people building the models are the ones sounding nervous. Trump has a trillion dollar stock market riding on that word, and Huang has the most valuable chip company on earth riding on it too.

When the seller and the government agree there's nothing to worry about, that's exactly when I start paying attention.
