Trump calls Supreme Court mail ballot ruling 'big loss for Republicans'
NEW: Trump blasts his three Supreme Court appointees over the mail-in ballot ruling, calling it a 'big loss for Republicans' after the court blocked a Postal Service rule ahead of November's midterms.
Donald Trump just turned on the three justices he put on the Supreme Court.
He's furious about Monday's ruling, the one that kept a Postal Service mail-in ballot rule blocked for November's midterms. On Truth Social he called it a big loss for Republicans and America itself, and here he is, the man not exactly known for taking an L quietly. Then came the line aimed at Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett. These are not the people I interviewed, he wrote. Merely a shell of their original selves.
Kavanaugh actually threw him a bone, writing there's a fair prospect the rule is legal, just not with seven weeks to implement it. Didn't help. Trump lumped this in with the tariff ruling and birthright citizenship, decisions he says are costing America trillions.
The hardest fact in all of this. Lifetime appointments. He picked them, and he can't unpick them.
