BREAKING: $BTC dips below $81,000, triggering $1.1 billion in crypto liquidations as short-term holders move 55,000 BTC to exchanges at a loss.

Bitcoin just dipped below eighty one thousand and wiped out a billion dollars in leverage.

CoinGlass counted one point zero nine billion in liquidations in twenty four hours, the biggest daily tally since August, and almost all of it was longs. The trigger, reports that the US government moved more than twelve thousand confiscated bitcoin, the kind of transfer that makes everyone assume a sale is coming.

And the panic showed up on chain. Short-term holders, people who bought within the last six months, sent fifty five thousand six hundred coins to exchanges at a loss on Thursday. That's more loss-selling than June, when bitcoin was under sixty thousand. Selling at eighty one like it's fifty nine, that's fear, not maths.

The price bounced back to around eighty two and a half thousand, which analysts call the level that decides everything. Close the week below it, and this whole summer rally goes back in the box.
