Hours after Trump-Putin diesel deal, Ukraine strikes Russian fuel site
BREAKING: Ukraine strikes a Russian fuel site in the Rostov region, setting it ablaze just hours after Trump and Putin announced their diesel supply deal.
Hours after Trump and Putin shook hands on diesel, Ukraine set a Russian fuel site on fire.
The strike hit a facility in Russia's Rostov region overnight, and these are the pictures, a fuel site burning after a Ukrainian drone attack. The regional governor says more than fifty drones were intercepted and reports no injuries.
The timing is the story. This came just hours after Washington announced a deal with Moscow to ease diesel sanctions, the same deal Zelensky had already called a gift to Putin. Kyiv didn't answer that agreement with a statement. It answered with drones aimed at the exact commodity the two presidents had just agreed to trade.
So the product America just signed up to buy is the product Ukraine is now burning at the source. That tension isn't going anywhere.
