OpenAI just took the most anticipated IPO in history off the table. Sam Altman says going public now would be ill-advised, and the earliest window slides to 2027.

Here's the man himself, sitting on a company the whole market has been begging to trade, and he's saying not yet, it's not safe. The same day, Anthropic's Dario Amodei published an essay asking AI labs to pace themselves, and both Altman and Musk backed it publicly. Three men who usually sue each other, suddenly reading from one page.
