Smith-Njigba stars as Seahawks hand Chiefs first loss of season

BREAKING: Seattle Seahawks hand the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the season, winning 20-3 as Jaxon Smith-Njigba racks up 150 yards and a touchdown on nine catches.

The Chiefs just got held to three points. Three.

Seattle beat Kansas City 20-3 on Sunday night, and it's the Chiefs' first loss of the season. Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the whole show, nine catches, 150 yards, and a 28-yard touchdown from Sam Darnold right before the half. You can see the game here, and it was every bit as one-sided as the score suggests.

Patrick Mahomes had one of his worst nights in years, 165 yards and a pick. And the revenge subplot flopped too. Kenneth Walker, last season's Super Bowl MVP in Seattle before he signed with Kansas City, came in leading the league in rushing and his old team held him to 36 yards. Andy Reid took full responsibility afterwards, which is what coaches say when nothing worked.

The hardest number of the night, Kansas City managed 213 total yards. That's not a bad game, that's a shutdown.
