Bitcoin climbs toward $84,000 after Fed’s Williams sees no rate hikes in 2027
JUST IN: $BTC climbs toward $84,000 after Fed's John Williams signals no rate hikes through 2027.
Bitcoin is pushing toward eighty four thousand dollars, and you can thank the Fed for it.
John Williams, the New York Fed president and one of the most powerful voices in the building, signalled there'll be no rate hikes through 2027. That's the whole story in one sentence. Cheap money for another year, and traders did what traders do, they bought.
Bitcoin has had a rough stretch, so a Fed official essentially promising not to tighten is the best news this market has heard in weeks. Risk assets love nothing more than a central banker who sounds relaxed, and Williams sounded very relaxed.
The thing to hold onto is this. One Fed speech moved Bitcoin toward eighty four thousand. Imagine what an actual rate cut does.
