BREAKING: Russian ballistic missile strikes Kyiv's CHP-4 power plant with no early warning, Zelensky says, accusing Western allies of failing to alert Ukraine.

A Russian ballistic missile hit a power plant in Kyiv, and Ukraine says nobody warned them it was coming.

The target was CHP-4, one of the plants that keeps the capital's heat and electricity running, struck with no early warning at all. President Zelensky confirmed the attack and went further than usual, accusing Western allies of failing to alert Ukraine, and you can see officials in Kyiv addressing it here.

That accusation matters. Ukraine's air defence depends on allied intelligence to track ballistic launches, because those missiles arrive in minutes and give almost no time to react. If that early warning chain broke down, or was never there, Kyiv is asking out loud whether it can trust the system protecting its cities.

Winter is coming to Ukraine, and Russia is again aiming at the grid. A capital without heat is the oldest weapon in this war, and tonight it just got used again.
