Brewers complete NLCS sweep of Dodgers to reach World Series
BREAKING: The Milwaukee Brewers complete an NLCS sweep of the Dodgers to reach their first World Series in 44 years, rallying from a four-run deficit to win Game 4 6-4.
The Milwaukee Brewers just swept the Dodgers out of October. Four straight.
And they did it the hard way, down four runs early in Game 4 in Los Angeles before clawing all the way back to win 6 to 4. Jake Bauers got it started with a two run double, then tied it with a bases loaded walk, and Garrett Mitchell put them ahead for good with a home run. You can see the emotion on JoJo Romero right here, he threw two scoreless innings in a bullpen game where four Milwaukee arms blanked the Dodgers for the final seven.
First World Series for the Brewers in 44 years. And remember, last season it was the Dodgers who swept Milwaukee out of this exact round. Twelve months later, the small market team walked into Dodger Stadium and returned the favor without losing a single game. Baseball has a sense of humor, and tonight it's wearing a Brewers cap.
