The strike sent a huge fireball into the sky over the city, and the footage shows exactly that, a massive orange blast erupting on the bridge structure with the Kyiv skyline right there behind it. This wasn't a night raid on the edge of town. This happened in daylight, over water, in the middle of the capital, where people could watch it unfold.

Kyiv has lived under drone and missile attacks for years now, and you can see the city here, but daylight strikes on infrastructure in the heart of it carry a different message. Bridges are how a city moves, how it evacuates, how it supplies itself.
