Iran, US trade threats as Tehran blames Washington for wedding strike

BREAKING: Iran and the US trade fresh threats after their heaviest military exchanges in weeks, with Tehran accusing Washington of striking a wedding party and calling it a war crime as Trump threatens further strikes.

Four people, including a child, are dead after a strike hit a wedding in southern Iran.

The Iranian Red Crescent says more than fifty were wounded when American missiles and drones hit the village of Sirik overnight. Tehran is calling it a war crime. These are the pictures from the ground. A residential area reduced to rubble, flowers already left in the wreckage.

Washington has not addressed the incident directly. A CENTCOM spokesman said the US military never targets civilians. President Trump says US forces staged a very heavy attack and are prepared to do another one any time they want. Iran's security chief answered that a new strategy would shatter America's foundations.

Iran has already hit back at US bases in Jordan, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iraqi Kurdistan. The Strait of Hormuz has now been shut for six months, and a war that began in February is only getting heavier.
