BREAKING: 600 drones target the Moscow region overnight, wounding three, as Russia launches a missile attack on Kyiv with explosions and fires reported across the Ukrainian capital.

Six hundred drones flew toward Moscow overnight. That's the number from the city's own mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, who says 201 were shot down over the region and three people were wounded. Ukraine is pushing its long-range strikes deeper into Russia, and the scale keeps climbing.

At the same time, Russian missiles hit Kyiv. Fires broke out in at least two districts, and you can see the flames here, firefighters working through the night after a strike that hit a book market. Mayor Vitali Klitschko says falling debris set cars alight in a northern suburb, and this is the blast damage left behind. One person was injured.

It didn't stay inside the two countries either. Romania says a Spanish F-18 flying NATO duty shot down a drone that crossed in from Moldova, its debris landing near the Ukrainian border.

Six hundred drones in one night, and fires in both capitals. That's where this war is now.
