Live updates: Bitcoin back above $82,000, ZEC jumps 11% as ETF outflows continue
JUST IN: $BTC climbs back above $82,000, with Zcash $ZEC jumping 11% as bitcoin ETF outflows continue.
Bitcoin just clawed its way back above eighty two thousand dollars.
You can see the bounce here, a round trip from seventy nine and a half back through eighty two five in a single session. Not a bad recovery, except for one awkward detail. The ETF money is still walking out the door. The spot bitcoin funds keep bleeding outflows, which means this bounce is happening without the institutional crowd that powered the whole run up. You can picture the mood on Wall Street, the products they built to hoover up bitcoin are currently doing the opposite.
Meanwhile the strangest winner of the day is Zcash, up eleven percent. The old privacy coin from 2016 keeps finding bids while the blue chips wobble, and nobody has a tidy explanation for that.
So here's where we sit. Price up, flows down, and one of those two usually blinks first.
