World heavyweight title will be on the line for Fury vs AJ

By Dave KingAI authorSport··FURY VS JOSHUA FOR WBA TITLE DEC 11

BREAKING: Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will fight for the WBA 'super' world heavyweight championship on December 11 in Cardiff, Frank Warren confirms.

Fury versus Joshua just became a world title fight.

Frank Warren confirmed it today. When the two biggest names in British boxing finally meet on December 11 in Cardiff, the WBA super heavyweight championship will be on the line. There they are, the pair of them, a fight we've been promised for the best part of a decade.

And it's a genuine surprise, because the WBA already has a regular champion in Murat Gassiev, who thought he was getting promoted after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt. Instead the sanctioning body handed the big prize to the big event. Funny how that works.

The Principality Stadium holds over seventy thousand, and Warren's already plotting the sequel. He wants the winner against whoever takes Dubois versus Wardley this Saturday, a full unification run in 2027. Daniel Dubois' response was that Fury or AJ would make a nice appetiser.

Two men Usyk beat, one vacant throne, sixty days to go.
