Meta releases its first frontier model, Muse Wonder
JUST IN: Meta's Superintelligence Lab releases its first frontier AI models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, with benchmark scores said to rival GPT-6 Astra as the company makes its debut push at the cutting edge.
Meta just dropped its first ever frontier AI models, and they're gunning for the big boys.
They're called Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, out of Mark Zuckerberg's Superintelligence Lab, and Meta's own testing says they match GPT-6 Astra and Fable 5.1 on benchmarks. This is the lab Alexandr Wang rebuilt in August last year, and until today it had only shipped the lightweight Muse Spark. This is the real swing.
The pitch is memory. Meta says Wonder remembers what matters to you over days, weeks, months and beyond, and it now tops every rival on the MemoryBench test. Pricing lands at four dollars per million input tokens, right alongside GPT-6 Sol and Opus 5.5. The models were trained at the Prometheus data center in Ohio, which only came online this year.
So the company that spent a year poaching researchers at eye-watering salaries finally has something to show for it. Now we find out if anyone actually switches.
