Russian strikes leave 600,000 without power in Ukraine, as Starlink restrictions affect front line

BREAKING: Russian strikes leave 600,000 without power in Ukraine after hitting critical energy infrastructure, as Kyiv says Starlink speed restrictions are disrupting front-line military operations.

Six hundred thousand people in Ukraine are without power this morning.

Russia launched 39 missiles and 128 drones overnight, hitting critical energy infrastructure in Kyiv, the capital region and Kharkiv. Three people were killed in Kyiv. Here's what we know about the strikes.

Firefighters were still working through the night, and you can see the damage to residential buildings here. This is the second night in a row that missiles have hit the capital, and it comes despite President Trump's claim on Sunday that an energy ceasefire was in place.

And there's a second problem for Kyiv. Zelensky's adviser says SpaceX put speed restrictions on Starlink terminals overnight, without warning the troops who depend on them. The defence ministry says it's already disrupting drone operations and logistics at the front. SpaceX hasn't commented.

Zelensky meets the British Prime Minister in London today, asking for faster air defence. The strikes are not waiting for the diplomacy.
