Iran reportedly weighs attacks on European military targets as UAE severs trade with Tehran

BREAKING: Iran has considered attacking US military targets in Europe, including assets in Bulgaria and Cyprus, if the war escalates, the FT reports, as the UAE pauses all trade and financial transactions with Tehran.

Iran has weighed attacking American military targets inside Europe. That's the Financial Times this morning, citing two regime insiders, and the locations under consideration were US assets in Bulgaria and Cyprus if this war escalates further.

Understand what that would mean. The conflict has so far stayed in the Gulf. Strikes on European soil would drag NATO territory into it, and there'd be no walking that back.

The timing is bleak. Talks between Washington and Tehran have stalled, the sixty day ceasefire expired Monday and Trump has ruled out extending it. The UAE has now frozen all trade and financial transactions with Iran after those missiles landed near its waters. And the Strait of Hormuz remains nearly empty, with an Iranian military spokesman warning that ships attempting passage will find several beautiful holes in their hulls.

A war with no talks, no ceasefire, and target lists reaching into Europe. That's where we are this morning.
