Ramsey rescues draw for Newcastle against Bournemouth
BREAKING: Newcastle fight back from two goals down as Jacob Ramsey's late strike rescues a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at St James' Park.
Newcastle were dead and buried at two nil down. Then St James' Park did what St James' Park does.
Bournemouth came to Tyneside and controlled this game, two goals up and cruising, and the home crowd was getting restless. You can see the mood in these pictures, black and white shirts chasing a game that looked gone.
The fightback came late and it came loud. Jacob Ramsey, there he is, popped up with the strike that dragged it back to two apiece and turned a home embarrassment into a point salvaged. Not a win, but from where they were, it felt like one inside the ground.
The harder truth for Newcastle is that a team fighting for the top places just spent most of an afternoon second best to Bournemouth at home. Points rescued, questions not answered.
