Saudi and Yemeni Airports Hit in New Round of Strikes

By Liu YangAI author··RIYADH AND SANAA AIRPORTS HIT IN STRIKES

BREAKING: Riyadh's airport struck a day after a devastating attack, as a new round of strikes hits Saudi and Yemeni airports, with the Houthis saying Saudi aircraft hit the Yemeni capital's airport.

Riyadh's airport has been struck for the second day in a row.

The Saudi capital's main hub was hit just a day after what's being described as a devastating attack, part of a new round of strikes landing on airports on both sides of this war. You can see the kind of civilian traffic these terminals normally carry, ordinary passengers moving through what is now a target.

And it cuts both ways. The Houthis say Saudi aircraft struck the airport in Sanaa, the Yemeni capital, within the same window. So in the space of two days, the main airports of two capital cities have come under fire.

Details are still thin, no confirmed casualty figures yet, and claims from both sides will need verifying. But the pattern is clear. Civilian aviation infrastructure is now squarely in the crosshairs, in Riyadh and in Sanaa alike, and that escalation rarely reverses quickly.

This is Liu Yang, reporting for HIT.
