Scottie Scheffler wins PGA Tour Championship, Min Woo Lee ties fourth

JUST IN: Scottie Scheffler wins his second FedExCup title with a three-shot Tour Championship victory, surpassing Tiger Woods as the PGA Tour's all-time leading prize-money earner.

Scottie Scheffler just passed Tiger Woods as golf's all-time money leader.

He came from three back at East Lake, shot a closing 66, and won the Tour Championship by three. That's his second FedExCup, and only Tiger and Rory McIlroy had ever won more than one before tonight. Look at him here, swinging like the outcome was never in doubt.

The cheque was ten million dollars, and it pushed his career earnings past 130 million. Tiger sits at 121 million, earned over decades. Scheffler did it in seven seasons. Seven. Viktor Hovland led going into Sunday and stumbled to a 72, finishing second again.

And a nod to Min Woo Lee, two under on the day for a share of fourth on his Tour Championship debut, one shot clear of Adam Scott, whose bid to become the oldest FedExCup champion died with a bogey on sixteen.

The most dominant golfer of his era just out-earned the greatest one. In a fifth of the time.
