U.S. Envoys Witkoff and Kushner Arrive in Kyiv After Talks With Putin
NEW: US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner meet Ukrainian President Zelensky in Kyiv, a day after holding talks with Vladimir Putin in Moscow in a renewed push to end the war.
Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are in Kyiv today, one day after sitting down with Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Think about that itinerary. Monday the Kremlin, Tuesday President Zelensky's office, the same two American envoys carrying whatever Putin told them straight to the man he's been at war with. You can see Zelensky here, and he now has to weigh an offer shaped in a room he wasn't in.
Witkoff has been Trump's point man on this file for months, and Kushner brings the Abraham Accords playbook, the belief that any conflict is really a deal waiting for terms. Moscow, where these talks began, has heard plenty of peace pushes before.
So the shuttle is moving fast, and speed cuts both ways. It can mean momentum, or it can mean pressure on Kyiv to swallow terms written elsewhere. Watch what Zelensky says when they leave the room. That silence, or that statement, tells you everything.
