BREAKING: Iran's Revolutionary Guards launch attacks on US bases in Jordan after American forces bombed rocket launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard is attacking American bases in Jordan tonight.

This is retaliation. Hours earlier, US Central Command bombed two IRGC rocket launchers on Larak Island, right in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state media says that strike killed and wounded several Iranian fighters and civilians.

So now the war has crossed a border. Jordan is not Iran, and it's not Israel either. It's a US partner hosting American troops, and the Guard just made those bases a target. Larak sits on the world's most important oil chokepoint, and every strike near that strait puts the entire region's shipping lanes in play.

We don't yet have confirmed casualty figures from the Jordan attacks, and Washington hasn't detailed the damage. What we do know is that each side is now answering the other within hours, not days. The hardest fact tonight is that this war just widened to a third country.
